Ah, the days before I learned to flip my art horizontally to check if it was skewed. You love to see it (I do not love to see it). At least Claire looks cute in this one! She and Clinton's designs both changed pretty significantly- I'm not really sure why, it just felt like they needed to have perky noses instead of aquiline ones? And then I was like "oh their noses are cute" and suddenly I had to slap my drawing hand every time I tried to give another character a perky nose. It's very easy to fall into the habit of drawing different characters the same way, this is something I've always struggled with (and continue to do so!) but I think I'm getting better at it gradually. Another thing I've always struggled with art-wise is that changes that seem very obvious to me are often too subtle for normal people to notice, because they don't spend several hours a day drawing and looking at my art like I do. Finding that balance between exaggerating things enough to be noticeably different without them looking "off" is a hill I will probably always be rolling a big stone up. One must imagine the webcartoonist happy, eh?
